VALUE-ADDED SOLUTIONS
Among the diverse excavator line-up at Bauma are some firm favourites from the Hitachi medium crawler range, equipped with additional features and options to boost safety and versatility.
In line with the theme of Hitachi Construction Machinery stand this year, the manufacturer is showing how it is responding to the challenges of its customers. To address the need for enhanced safety, added versatility in confined spaces, and greater stability, for example, Hitachi and KTEG have added specific features and options to four medium crawler models on display, ranging from 13 to 35 tonnes.
One of the most popular Zaxis-7 models, the ZX210LC-7, will be exhibited with the first collision mitigation machine control system for excavators in Europe. The Advanced Aerial Angle camera system prevents collisions by decelerating or stopping travel and swing motions when an object is detected. It also provides audio and visual warnings for both the operator and other personnel on the job site. In addition, the ZX210LC-7 is equipped with a Trimble 3D machine guidance system, which can be fitted at the Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV factory in Amsterdam.
The short-tail swing ZX135US-7 is equipped with a two-piece boom to further enhance its versatility for confined spaces. It also benefits from the industry-leading HIOS hydraulic system that reduces fuel consumption while maintaining high levels of productivity.
A larger short-tail swing model, the Hitachi ZX225USLC-7, will be on show on the adjoining stand of the German Hitachi dealer, Kiesel. It has a class-leading, ultra- short swing radius of 1,680mm, and an optional dozer blade. Different attachments are quickly changed using the enhanced attachment support system on the monitor.
Largest short-tail swing model Highlighting the cooperation between Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and Kiesel Technology Entwicklung GmbH in their joint venture, the KTEG 375USLC-7 short-tail swing medium excavator is also among the main attractions on the HCME stand. The optional two-piece boom and/or blade have been uniquely designed by KTEG for added versatility, and safety and stability respectively. A powerful solution for lifting heavy loads over a short distance, it is ideal for tough assignments in confined urban environments, road construction, lifting work and pipelaying projects.
“We are delighted that KTEG’s and Hitachi’s largest model of the short-tail swing radius line-up will be introduced to the European market at Bauma 2025,” says KTEG Managing Director Harald Thum. “The KTEG 375USLC-7 has an exceptionally reliable track record stateside, where it has proved popular with a well-balanced specification and a high level of safety and stability.”

“Hitachi and KTEG are renowned for supplying reliable excavators, and at Bauma this year, we are adding value to our existing offering through a variety of options and configurations that meet the specific requirements of our European customers. EWe are also preparing for the future and look forward to unveiling more solutions that will exceed the expectations of the next generation.”
