VERSATILITY ON WHEELS
The wheels of the construction industry may stop turning during Bauma 2025 as visitors from all round Europe turn their heads in awe to check out the select models from the Hitachi ZXW-7 wheeled excavator line-up.
There will be four showstopping Zaxis-7 wheeled excavators on display: the short-tail swing ZX135W-7 and ZX175W-7, the ZX155W-7 and the largest model, the ZX220W-7. All four machines are renowned for their versatility across a variety of applications.
Attachments can be conveniently transported with the optional trailer support package, and they are easily changed using the enhanced attachment support system. And to further demonstrate their versatility, each model will be equipped with two-piece booms at Bauma 2025.
The industry-leading HIOS hydraulic system increases front speed and achieves high levels of productivity with low fuel consumption, helping to reduce running costs. The all-new ECO gauge also allows operators to control fuel efficiency. The smallest model, the ZX135W-7, has the same engine as the larger ZX155W-7 and a compact 360-degree swing radius (1,740mm to the rear and 1,750mm at the front) for confined spaces. The ZX175W-7 also has an exceptional digging force and lifting capacity, improving productivity.
Unrivalled comfort in the cab
The ZXW-7 wheeled excavators benefit from a redesigned cab that offers the ultimate in comfort and quality, with low noise levels and less vibration than the previous generation. The seat and console have a synchronised motion, designed to ensure that operators feel less tired at the end of the working day.
They will also benefit from the superior view of the job site, which is boosted by the Aerial Angle camera system, slim steering column (with wider adjustment angle) and smaller steering wheel.
To enable operators to work more confidently and productively, even in challenging conditions, the Zaxis-7 wheeled excavators are fitted with LED work lights, a windscreen wiper with an increased sweeping area, and larger mirrors. For additional safety, the upper structure and front attachment will lock in place when the machine is in the correct position, for driving on public roads.
“We have selected these models in our wheeled excavator range to represent the demands of the market at Bauma 2025,” says HCME Wheeled Excavator Product Manager Wilbert Blom.
“The ZX135W-7 is growing in popularity, and many of our customers are evaluating its compact size and strong performance – all within a turning radius of 3.5m.
“The ZX175W-7 also enjoys the benefit of the short radius and shares many of the same components – such as the undercarriage – as the conventional ZX180W-7. And the ZX220W-7 is a popular model in the German wheeled excavator market and so we expect that this will be one of the most popular exhibits on our stand.”
