Demonstrating a diverse excavator line-up at Bauma 2025, Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) and KTEG will showcase five medium crawler models, ranging from 13 to 35 tonnes. Each is equipped with additional features and options to highlight how HCME is responding to the challenges of its customers for enhanced safety, added versatility in confined spaces, and greater stability.
One of the most popular Hitachi Zaxis-7 models, the ZX210LC-7, will be on display with the first collision mitigation machine control system for excavators in Europe. The Aerial Angle IV camera system prevents collisions by decelerating or stopping travel and swing motions when an object is detected. It also provides audio and visual warnings for both the operator and other personnel on the job site. In addition, the ZX210LC-7 is equipped with a Trimble 3D machine guidance system, which can be fitted at the HCME factory in Amsterdam.
The short-tail swing ZX135US-7B is equipped with a two-piece boom to further enhance its versatility for confined spaces. It also benefits from the industry-leading HIOS hydraulic system that reduces fuel consumption while maintaining high levels of productivity.
A larger short-tail swing model, the Hitachi ZX225USLC-7, will be on show on the adjoining stand of the German Hitachi dealer, Kiesel. It has a class-leading, ultra-short swing radius of 1,680mm, and an optional dozer blade. Different attachments are quickly changed using the enhanced attachment support system on the monitor.
Another Highlight is the KTEG 375USLC, which is a strong, versatile, and stable solution with a short-tail swing radius at the front and rear, making it ideal for tough assignments in tight urban environments, road construction, lifting work, and pipelaying projects. The machine comes with the option of a two-piece boom and/or blade (with cylinders and HRV ), which have been designed for added versatility, and safety and stability respectively. The Two-Piece boom solution provides best in class cutting height, what makes it a strong and versatile solution with outstanding working range.
“Hitachi and KTEG are renowned for supplying reliable excavators, and at Bauma this year, we are adding value to our existing offering through a variety of options and configurations that meet the specific requirements of our European customers,” says HCME CEO Francesco Quaranta. “We are also preparing for the future and look forward to unveiling more solutions that will exceed expectations of the next generation.”
The Hitachi and KTEG medium excavators will be on display on stand FN.716 during Bauma 2025, which takes place on 7 to 13 April in Munich.
